If you're like me and can't afford the absolute latest and best, lightest, smoothest liquid foundation around but still have to wear it occasionally because you've got the complexion of an 8th grader in the throes of puberty... Have I got a trick for you!
It's simple and awesome and long lasting, it looks much more natural than anything else I've tried, and it's just all around fantastic! I can't believe I've never heard of this trick before! It only takes an additional 5 seconds or so, and it will save you money and make your foundation last TWICE as long!

Nail Polish WORLD CHAMPION
Good evening, brokeass bitches! <3 I've been away a while, and I see that you were worried, but I've been fine! Just busy is all! Work has been nuts, the house is ever in need of repair, and I just really hadn't been shopping or experimenting or doing anything interesting (or even anything that requires my war paint!) until very recently. Hmm, maybe it's the seasons...
Actually, that's not entirely true; I did go to our local renaissance faire here in the Austin area, Sherwood Forest. I've been a huge renn faire nerd for a very long time, so perhaps I'll do a post about them - and getting all dorked up for cheap - soon; how does that sound? For now, let's get down to the business at hand...
I have made a firm decision on what is the absolute best cheap nail polish on the planet. And the winner issss...

Awesome Eyeliner! Review and Infoze!
OK, how about a little cheapy treat? I need to tell you about my new
current favorite product of all time for the moment. I got this
eyeliner, see... Yeah. It's e.l.f. (shocker, I know), and it is just an
extraordinary product.
The Essentials Waterproof Eyeliner Pen (2$ each!) is not like any other eyeliner I've ever had. I don't know if it's the applicator tip or the liquid's chemical makeup or what, but I've never used anything like it. It's not exactly a liquid liner, but it's definitely not a pencil. It's filled with a thick, inky liquid like regular liquid liners, but you don't dip a brush into a pot of paint to apply it, and it doesn't act like liquid eyeliner at all. It's like all pigment or something... closer to a henna, maybe, than anything else; it's really hard to describe. But it. is. awesome.

CHEAP vs EXPENSIVE - Mineral Eyeshadows!
I have had Bare Minerals Mineral Eyeshadows for years now. They're pretty good! But I picked up several of e.l.f.'s mineral eyeshadows in their recent 50% off sale so that I could compare them.

My "makeup bag" - VIDEO
Remember how I'm really new to this whole wearing makeup thing? Well, once I started figuring out how to do it and subsequently discovered that makeup could be purchased quite cheaply, I acquired rather a lot of it. I outgrew my previous makeup bag, which was really just a travel case that, again, my mom got in a bonus pack and gave to me.

Product Review: Makeup Remover - VIDEO!
After I clowned up my face in my eyeshadow trick video, I went ahead and kept on filming. This time I show you the cheapest makeup remover I've found to date. I even compare it to some expensive stuff! I'm gettin' purdy good at this bloggin' thing, if I do say so m'self!

Soooooooooo I got a little accidentally drunk last night, and since I was annoying the hell out of my poor boyfriend with my loud, obnoxious drunken antics, I decided to leave him alone to go hide out in the bathroom and make a drunk makeup video! That video is coming, I promise, but that's not what this post is about. (sorry!)
In the meantime, Iwent to slePASSED OUT in my makeup last night. Remember how I said the Jumbo Stick keeps your shadow on and looking like new literally until you wash it off? Here's proof!

REVIEW: e.l.f. Essential nail polishes
I finally got my (fantastically cheap, of course) tripod, so now I can make videos!
I recently bought five of e.l.f.'s Essential nail polishes because they are sooo cheap, and who doesn't love cute new nail polish colors?! So far, I am quite pleased with them. My omg yay very first video is a quick review of these!

MAKEUP BRUSHES!
Today, we're gonna talk about MAKEUP BRUSHES.
The best way to get the most out of any makeup is having and maintaining a GREAT set of BRUSHES! I think they're the most important thing in your makeup bag. Your brush will pick up, hold, and transfer more product, more evenly, than a sponge applicator or your fingertips, so you'll get more onto your skin and lose less out of the pot or compact. Brushes are better at precision lines, even application, and often boldness of color than just about anything else on offer. And since you can easily wash them, they're surprisingly versatile - you could use the same brush for eyeshadow, blush, and foundation powder if you really needed to!
If you're still using any of those crappy, antiquated sponge applicators for foundation or eyeshadow, get up right now, go throw them all away, and come back to me. Actually, wait! COME BACK! First, replace them with a great set of brushes, then throw that crap away! I'll wait...
There are endless options for fantastic deals out there, and you don't always get what you pay for. You can get top quality brushes for shamefully low prices if you skip the overpriced brand decal and look at the brush itself. Here, lemme show you some fantastic and fantastically cheap brushes and how to use and take good care of them, so you'll have a long and happy life looking beautiful together!

Cheap makeup is cheap - WASH YER FACE YALL
All you brokeass babes and cheap chicks absolutely rocking cheap makeup want to be able to keep doing so, right? Then there is one hugely important thing you need to do, and do CORRECTLY!
The main thing that allows you to get away with using cheap makeup is taking good care of your skin. I'm sure that, unless you have some amazing genetics, you've seen and felt the effects of nasty cheapo makeup on your face. Pimples in droves, discolored patches, oiliness, and... well, I could go on but I won't gross you out.
A lot of people think that if they have sensitive, oily, acne-prone, or otherwise less than perfect skin, then they cannot wear cheap makeup and have to spring for more expensive, "better" stuff. But that's not true!
Anyone can totally get away with wearing cheap makeup, even cheap, off-brand liquid foundation and all-over powder, as long as you take proper care of your skin. When you know how to properly use them, there are only a few products that you absolutely need:
As you probably know, for every fancy schmancy designer product there is, there's an equivalent (or even an identical, re-branded but made in the same factory and all) version that costs way less. There's always a better deal out there. And if you're here, that's what you're looking for, right?! Right.
Now I have very oily and pimply skin. That may lead you to believe that I'm actually not taking the best care of my skin, but I disagree! Well, okay I should probably be more religious with my full regimen, but whatever... I'm 33 years old, and I've had really horrible acne all my life up to now. These days, I just have a bit of acne sometimes - acne that's quite easily covered cosmetically - and my skin has never looked better, more even and clear, or softer. And mind you, my skin is nicer now that I've gone from no makeup ever to actually wearing cheap stuff regularly! If you have dry or combination skin, or if you happen to have perfect skin (and I totally hate you for that :P), then my specific products might not work for you. YMMV and all that. Do keep reading, though, because the basics and how to use them are all the same.
